EPG-C Battery Tank Grips - FAQ

Does the tank grip require soldering?

No, installing the tank grip does not require soldering. Instead, we’ve provided a couple WAGO lever connectors to splice the connection to make assembly and disassembly easier. You’ll need to cut the original connection so that it still passes through the grip and the adapter, then strip 11mm of insulation off each side. There’s a guide on the WAGO connectors for how much you should strip off.

What batteries do you recommend/can fit inside the tank grip?

So long as your AEG is built well, it should have no problems with using large RC packs. We’ve used 1500mah 100C and 2200mah 50C, which you can find on Amazon. Of course, you can stick with using the typical stick batteries.

Will the warranty cover the grip?

We haven’t had one break yet, but we are happy to help you out. If the grip is damaged in a way that affects its function during normal gameplay, it will be fully covered. Some examples could be:

  • Cap threads breaking off from assembly/disassembly

  • Tube O-rings snapping

  • Threaded heatset insert coming out

As competitive players ourselves, we know that a lot can happen. Your grip can break from a rough dive, slamming on a bunker, or tripping and falling. So long as the damage wasn’t caused deliberately, we’re willing to help you out. Repairs and replacement parts will be provided at a significantly reduced cost.

Unfortunately, we can’t cover any cosmetic damage (dents, scuffs, wear) that occurs during normal gameplay.

We are not responsible for damage that may occur to your replica during improper installation (ie. reversing positive/negative connections, improper motor height, etc). If you are not knowledgeable on tinkering with AEGs, professional installation is highly recommended.
