Saiga HPA Adapter - FAQ

Is it safe to run my Saiga on HPA?

So long as you run around 100-120psi, it should be fine. Green gas typically runs around 130psi at room temperature, and lower PSI (<80psi) is likely to cause issues if the Saiga has weak cycling. You should still expect HPA to cause more wear and tear on the replica, especially since you’ll be running more rounds through it. Inspect and maintain all moving parts and seals at regular intervals.

Most issues with the Saiga on HPA revolve around having poor feeding, which is usually caused by either weak magazine springs or using poor-quality BBs. It’s highly recommended to use PTS EPMs (150rd) or magazines fitted with Maple Superfeed springs.

What Joules can I expect with HPA?

  • Tokyo Marui Saiga 12K: .6-.8J [100-120psi (CAT5)]

  • Tokyo Marui Saiga SBS: 1-1.2J [100-120psi (CAT5)]

Joules and cycling are very dependent on the refresh rate of the regulator you use. You may find yourself using higher PSI with regulators like the Polarstar MR2 or lower PSI with regulators like the Redline Mini SFR.
